FC-610-001 Fusion Wireless Dual Input/Output Interface Unit
At a glance
General
The FC-610-001 is a wireless, 868 MHz dual channel input/output unit. It provides a method of interfacing a supervised input or potential free output signal into and out of the fire detection and alarm system in areas where the installation of system wiring is not an option.
The FC-610-001 connects to an FP1200/2000 or 2X series fire panel (CIE) by means of a wireless gateway.
Usage
As an input the FC-610-001 may receive signals from other alarm equipment, e.g. beam detectors, aspiration detectors etc. Used as an output the unit switches equipment controlled by the fire detection system, e.g. air conditioning systems, magnetic door release units etc. Both input and output facilities are available from the same unit and may be operated simultaneously or individually, as programmed at the CIE.
The System
The FC-610-001 communicates with the main control panel via a hardwired gateway that may be installed anywhere on the detection loop. When any input gets an alarm signal it passes it via the wireless interface to the main fire control panel where it is processed. The outputs of the interface provides potential free change over contacts for connecting ancillary equipment and is programmed separately, activated individually or in a group.
High intensity LED indicators positioned on the FC-610-001 may be illuminated by a manually activated push button to identify when the interface has operated, providing clear identification of the signal source.
Installed as part of a FP1200/2000 or 2X addressable system, each wireless device is assigned its own address with which the main control panel communicates with it, providing the same system facilities as directly wired devices.
Power supply
The FC-610-001 is powered by 6 AA alkaline batteries providing up to 5 years of operational life under normal site conditions. The FC-610-001 features battery condition monitoring and reporting.
